Customer experiences
Unfortunately, my review is similar to Brittany’s . I also received conflicting information about what modalities would be covered by insurance. After switching over to what they are now, they now turned down a modality I definitely wouldn’t have taken(money out of my pocket) if I couldn’t have it covered by insurance. YES get their words in writing, please!
(EDIT, 07/15/2020) Since COVID has happened, these people have worked tirelessly to create and put out protocols to help keep therapists and clients as safe as possible as we returned to work during Phase 2, here in Alberta. They've navigated every question imaginable (many of which have sparked some intense debates within the massage community), while ensuring the guidelines put out were based on the available scientific evidence around the pandemic. All of this has solidified my choice for retaining my membership for years to come. ------------------- I've been with these folks since just before I left school in June 2018, and honestly, I have no complaints. Their fees are reasonable, their staff has always been lovely to work with, and their customer service is pretty on point. They are quite understanding, will work with you to resolve any issues, and will go above an beyond to assist their members (within reason and their ability to do so, obviously). Definitely worth considering.
I joined before the transition to CMMOTA had started after meeting staff members at an open house for associations. Not only were the staff the most personable people there, but they offered the best pricing and seemed to genuinely care for the growth of Massage! Every time I called or emailed, I received a suffice and prompt response. Unfortunately, something has changed over the last year and I've been trying to reach out to staff to express my fading trust with the service and to bring forward some concerns regarding contradictory information from staff. I give a 3 Star because they are still doing their jobs but with such low integrity or customer service. I feel the same way talking to CMMOTA now as I do calling a government agency! I'd be happy to change it once I see some Integrity and customer service return but need members to know to get things in writing and that you DESERVE to have proper guidance with some empathy and a smile! I love seeing that other people are having a good experiences like I once did but all members need to feel secure and supported. Ask thorough questions and protect yourself if you join! UPDATE: I did receive an apology from the person who provided contradicting guidance.
I joined RMTA once I completed school. I have never been disappointed, felt like I was just another payment. They reply within the same day. Always are helping, pointing me in the right direction and are the reason I am able to have a successful career.
