I urgently needed my pet’s medical documents for an insurance claim, and Hôpital Vétérinaire Taschereau completely failed to deliver. Despite multiple follow-ups, they never sent the documents, which directly caused serious delays in my claim and unnecessary financial stress. What made the situation even worse was the rude and unhelpful attitude of the front desk staff. Zero empathy, zero urgency, and no accountability. For a veterinary clinic, where care and support should be the priority, this was shocking and deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you care about timely communication, respectful service, or your peace of mind — look elsewhere.

Everything changed after they moved to the new location. The younger (compared to other receptionists) receptionist, sitting in the middle is rude, and the male doctor is impatient. His annual examination was a complete waste of money—he didn’t even look at the concerns the nurse had written down. He just glanced at my cat, gave a few soft touches, and was ready to leave. It was visibly careless, and with that kind of attitude and approach, there’s no way to identify any potential issues. I could have done a better exam myself. The female pharmacist is the only professional employee there.

I have been a loyal client of this veterinary clinic for several years and have generally been pleased with their affordable pricing and satisfactory care. However, my recent visit left me feeling deeply disappointed and unheard. I brought my dog in for her vaccines and mentioned some concerns about her overall health to the technician, who noted them in the computer and assured me that the veterinarian would address them. Given the $100 consultation fee, I expected at the very least to be listened to with care and patience. Unfortunately, the veterinarian barely spent five minutes with us, seeming more eager to exit the room than to hear my concerns. His rushed manner left me struggling to get a word in. Despite my repeated attempts, I felt dismissed and disregarded. I did manage to request a blood test for parasites, which was performed, but beyond that, I felt my worries—especially about my dog’s recent lethargy and joint stiffness—were brushed aside. When I asked for supplement suggestions to help with these issues, the vet showed no real interest in my concerns. A week or so later, I received an email from the clinic, ironically emphasizing how important my dog’s health is to them and reminding me about her annual vaccinations—vaccines she had already received during that very appointment. If they truly cared, they would have updated her file and shown more attentiveness during our visit. Sadly, this experience has led me to believe that I will not be returning to this clinic. The lack of regard for my dog’s health and my concerns was disheartening, and I no longer trust that we will receive the care and consideration we deserve.
