Danny Chanvery honest, as we came on monday, we were looking for sardines and they told us that the fish market isn’t open on monday, so there won’t be any fresh ingredients. unlike what we tried on time out market, the food is cooked with fresh ingredients and tasty.
Manuel Urbina AlvarezNice place to try local cuisine. A mix of locals and tourists, but really cosy. We got the cod of the day, which was a bit over cooked but nice enough to enjoy the meal. The sauce and sides definitely matched the dish. The octopus was glorious and the chorizo amazing. One thing we didn't know was they just accept cash. We had to get cash from an ATM. Nice experience to try cod and seafood.

Paella - 3.5/5 Grilled cod (Bacalhau à D. Carlos) - 3.8/5 Wait for a table of 2 wasn’t too long, but the food does take a while to come. Expect to wait after ordering. Probably will not come again. Had better food in the area.

I got there rather early, around 7 p.m. The server let me know they only accept local cards or cash, so I had to withdraw some money. At first, I thought it was an inconvenience, but after tasting the food, it was definitely worth it. Service was great (I forgot to ask the server’s name—he had a shaved head). It was a bit on the slow side, but I think they were understaffed. Still, the server was friendly and super helpful, so the wait actually wasn’t an issue at all. I had the polvo à lagareiro, and it was absolutely delicious. I also had the tinto sangria, which was just as good. When I got the bill, they gave me something I wasn’t sure what it was, but it was also great haha. The ambience is cozy and lively. I definitely recommend it, and please don’t forget to bring cash and try the polvo!
