Today I came into the store with my daughter who is a hairdresser in training. My daughter asked the store assistant for some advice about a toner as my daughter was in the process of lightening my very dark hair. I found the store assistant to be condescending when answering my daughter’s question and instead of answering politely I found her to be very patronising. Not only is this bad customer service but to make a trainee feel demoralised when they are simply seeking advice from a professional is very bad practice. When in an authoritative or experienced position, why not offer encouragement and friendly guidance and lead by example for those starting their career in the industry. This was a negative shopping experience and not a place we will return.
