I used to absolutely love this vet clinic. The staff were knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly cared about the well being of the animals. Unfortunately, since the clinic was bought out by a corporation, everything has gone downhill. All the experienced, long-term staff who knew my pets and provided consistent, quality care have been fired without reason. They’ve been replaced with new, less experienced employees who seem rushed, overwhelmed, and sometimes unsure. The warm, personal touch is missing, and appointments feel more like a transaction than a partnership in my pet’s care. Wait times are longer, prices have increased, and the level of care has noticeably declined. It’s clear that profits now come before pets. It’s heartbreaking to watch such a trusted clinic become unrecognizable. I’ve made the difficult decision to look for a new vet that still prioritizes experience, continuity, and compassion. I hope management seriously reconsiders the direction they’re taking as our pets deserve better.

Cavan used to be the best vet clinic in the area - it is now so hard to make an appointment or even get them to speak to you without being put on hold. The desk associates are miserable and leave you on hold for 20 + minutes. Often cancel your appointments due to lack of staff. They are also no longer 24/7 - so if you do not live near the clinic - go local because if your 2 mins late they will cancel your appointment - even though your 16 year dog is throwing up. Such a shame they used to be so friendly and compassionate.

My first visit to Cavan Hills was a tough one, but the compassion and support my dog and I received was incredible. My 12 year old girl, Diamond, became quite ill on a late Saturday evening, when my regular veterinarians office was closed. I knew she was not going to be ok and would need to be euthanized. They made an appointment that evening to see Diamond. The care she received was amazing. They were so patient, warm and kind. They talked me through everything and supported me while I held her and said my goodbyes. In the future, I will make the longer drive to Cavan Hills, for my dogs, as I know they will be well cared for. Thank you to all the staff for all you did to support my family.

I've been a long time patient here! For about 10 years with a few different dogs. From super friendly to very aggressive - all my dogs have been treated extremely well. The care is always top notch, the reception staff are always welcoming and friendly. I will always return to Cavan!
