Customer experiences
The doctor here was excellent, but the receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. The imaging center only sent the written report, not the X-ray images, so my doctor asked me to send a screenshot of the image so can we file to the clinic account. When I went to the front desk to ask how to do this, the receptionist interrupted me before I could finish explaining, grabbed my report, made a copy, and ignored my question. I even heard the staff say, “we don’t want to see you,” which was extremely disrespectful. The doctor was great, but the receptionist made the experience very unpleasant. Patients should never feel dismissed or disrespected when seeking help.
Went in yesterday and waited for 5 1/2 hours to be seen for an eye infection (not their fault for being the only walk in in Kingston) HOWEVER, when being prescribed antibiotics they asked if I had any allergies and despite telling them I was severely allergic to penicillin they prescribed me a heavily penicillin based one. It has now been 24 hours and neither the pharmacist nor myself have been able to get ahold of them to get the prescription fixed. More caution from the doctors should be taken, had the pharmacist not confirmed my allergies I would have taken it unknowingly and ended up in emerge last night. Being busy is no excuse for cutting corners especially when it could mean risking someone’s life
I was super impressed with the set up of this clinic. When I came in I was told it would be an hour wait. The clinic sent me a text message to confirm my waiting time. This allowed me to leave the clinic, go do some shopping at the dollarstore across the street, while simultaneously keeping an eye on my wait time. Once I was seen, the doctor was super kind and knowledgeable and I was in and out within the hour. This is far better than what I received as care from my former family physician. If I called them to get in, it would have been a 2 month wait and I would have ended up going to a clinic since that is not appropriate. Thank you to the team at CDK. Keep up the good work. It is very appreciated.
Waited +7 hours, 5 in the waiting room and an additional 2 in one of the patient rooms. Customer service was mediocre at best and the doctor was even more so. Do not recommend going here
CDK Family Medicine and Walk-In Clinic is a pharmacy.
