Challenger Bank Limited

I recently made a RTGS large sum payment from Westpac to start a Term Deposit with Challenger. RTGS payment is a same day processing process which should credit the funds to my Challenger account in a couple of hours, but it comes with a $30 cost. Something went wrong in the process and somehow in 3 days' time I still have not received the money and I was really worried it would become a finger pointing exercise between Westpac and Challenger. But the Challenger customer service was super nice, and on the 2nd time when I called him in desperation, he said that they reached out to Westpac trying to figure out the issue and also said that when the funds finally arrived, he would see whether there is a way to back dated so that I don't lose the interest accrued during these 3 days. Finally after all those worrying I can see the funds in the account, and guess what they did back dated my TD. Great customer service and real care for customers

Terrible organization. They used be know as My Life My Finance and now rebranded as Challenger Bank. I had closed my and my wife's account with them in writing and was confirmed the accounts were closed and now after few years I am getting letter with new card. I am seriously going to escalate this with AFCA as twice I was confirmed about closure of accounts but seems like nothing has happened. Clearly shows negligence and incompetency from their management and customer service

Oliver at Challenger was very helpful to sort out a matter with me, he was really motivated to deliver a great service. Term deposit rates are very good also.
