DPS Construction was employed to complete construction of my new home. The home was constructed in accordance with the plans, in 9 Months. The follow up process to finish outstanding issues took an additional year, which was unacceptable in my opinion. The challenges faced by the industry in 2021-2022 did not escape DPS Construction. The construction process was painful and seemingly disorganized. While I can’t comment on the process relative to other builders as this was my first home, I can only observe that I spent a significantly greater portion of my time than anticipated helping manage the effort. A client should expect to have multiple no-show sub-contractors (not necessarily DPS’ fault), significant delays to both timelines and budgets due to supply constraints, and an expectation to follow up on work performed to make sure it meets your expectations. That all being said, Adam on the DPS team was an absolutely invaluable resource. Adam was the heart and soul of the process, his attention to detail, pursuit of client satisfaction, and organization exceeded expectations. While I work outside of the construction industry I would take Adam on my team any day of the week. I firmly believe that my experience (and mental health) would have been significantly worse if not for Adam’s steadfastness and determination to find the solution to a problem, and not always the ‘easy’ answer.

DPS is a great company comprised of people who know their trade. We worked together from developing the plan, and to its implementation. I'd say the process was manageable because they are nice and accommodating people who are trying to make the client happy. It really helps that if your are going into a construction project, know what to expect at every stage and keep a close eye at progress. That way you can resolve issues early if they arise, because they inevitably arise. The key to success is to keep the line of communication open. Let them know what you're thinking early, and they will work with you to resolve any issues. I'd certainly recommend them to anyone looking to carry out major work on their house.

Steve and his team worked on a master suite addition to our house. While we experienced a few timing setbacks that couldn't be avoided, DPS was patient and worked with us to make things fit our budget. Our project manager was very courteous, patient, and responsive to our requests.
