Jake BSuch a lovely shop with lots of local produce as well as caved aged cheddar cheese, in cheddar! Lots of flavours of cheese, lots of free samples of cheese and the cheese itself is delicious. Staff were very friendly here and you can even pay to see inside, and watch them make the cheese. Definitely worth going if you are in the charade area.

John LaidlerA shop for tourists. I was expecting a traditional cheese shop with whole cheeses cut to your requirements. Instead, I found a sort of mini-supermarket selling plastic wrapped pre-cut slices at inflated prices. A couple of years ago I visited the village of Camembert in France. I toured the museum, saw the cheese being made and had a taste of different camembert cheeses. The cost per person (€6) was less than this shop wants for a sliver of sweaty looking cheddar.
