What can’t Chef Manny do? Chef Manny did a private, multi-cultural, Thanksgiving themed dinner for 4 of us and it was some of the best food we’ve ever had. He can accomodate many different ingredients, cultures, flavours, and styles into his dishes and we were blown away by how well he executed the dinner. From his plating of the dishes, the fun and interesting flavour combinations, as well as his professionalism and warmth as a person, I genuinely have nothing but great things to say about Chef Manny. He sourced ingredients himself, took inspiration from the instructions and requests that we made, and he executed everything to perfection. Barbequed lychee wrapped in prosciutto, mushroom ravioli, homemade watermelon sorbet, turkey with coconut infused mashed potatoes and cranberry gel, pumpkin brulee, poached pear in ice wine reduction…some of the many dishes he prepared for us, and only a few of them are pictured below. He also worked around a couple of dietary restrictions and didn’t sacrifice any of the great flavours and dishes he prepared. He also said he prepared for the evening by experimenting with different ingredients and shopped around various grocery stores to make exactly what we wanted, even going as far as driving for hours in the weeks before just to find a single item for this dish or an obscure fruit for another dish. Chef Manny really goes above and beyond and it shows in his cooking. Most of all, Chef Manny is a wonderful person and extremely kind. He was professional, patient, and very respectful of us and our home. I really can only say amazing things about him and his work and he made our night so incredibly special, creating a night and a culinary experience that we will always remember.
