Chesapeake Closets

I was really impressed with this company. They are local, which I highly value, and they were surprisingly cheaper than their national counterparts (probably by about 20-25%!). Most of all, I didn't sacrifice quality for this lower cost -- same product plus a warranty from a local company that's been in business for 30+ years. Four specific parts of my experience led to my 5 star rating: First, when I experienced a logistical difficulty in getting in touch with the office staff, the owner apologized and rectified the issue. I appreciated his customer service and that of the office staff. Second, I wanted something nonstandard in my closet. Typically these kinds of closet systems can only be a certain width (~40" or so) before requiring a full-length vertical piece. I didn't want the full length piece, I wanted more of a bracket style. The company worked with me and was able to put it into the design and I was VERY pleased with how it turned out. Third, the install was really smooth and well executed, exactly as promised. Fourth, after install I realized that the location I had chosen for the necklace racks was sub-par for my use case. I remembered that at install they had told me I get one free visit to move things around, so I reached out and scheduled it no problem. They came, moved the necklace racks, and were done within 20 minutes and things looked clean and worked perfectly. I also didn't have to completely empty my closet *and* I was able to purchase another shelf for one of my shelving units while they were here. One note is timing - I started working with them on August 13th, signed the contract on September 26th, the closet was installed on November 25th, and the aforementioned free change occurred on December 27th. They were upfront at my first call that scheduling was 12-16 weeks out from a signed contract (it was actually only 8), but it did take some time to get to the signed contract because each time I requested a change in the design, regardless of how minor, it had to go back into the design queue and it would take about a week. I didn't mind all that much, but wanted to provide details. Overall, I had a fully customizable experience from a local company in a high-quality product for a great price. I definitely plan to use this company again when I need another closet designed! For the photos - the wire shelves are the before pictures.

Working with Chesapeake Closets has been a great experience. We had 3 kids closets done, and everything went smoothly. They came out and gave us an estimate and provided us with design drawings of each closet with a current configuration, as well as a future configuration that we can call them back out to reconfigure when our kids get older and need more hanging space. Their pricing seemed very reasonable and better than the other quote we got. The installer, Darius, was on time, personable, respectful of our home, and did a fast and excellent job installing. Overall, this was an A+ experience and I wish I had done it years ago.

Chesapeake Closets was absolutely fantastic! We are blown away by our mudroom and pantry. They designed a fabulous mudroom for us, and the pantry updates will make our narrow-but-deep pantry actually functional! From design and design iterations to scheduling and installation, Chesapeake Closets exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend them enough. Our installation team Keith and Cameron not only did a fantastic job and explained everything, but also kept the workspace so clean and left everything in a better condition than they started with. If you're looking to make a better use of your space, Chesapeake Closets is the way to go!
