Cheyenne Mountain Roofing - Colorado Springs Roof Repair & Replacement

First, I’ll start off by saying this review will have two parts - quality of work and communication. Communication: Back in April we decided to go with Mighty Dog to do our siding. Prior to, we were shopping around. The Mighty Dog salesman was great at following up and getting back to us within a timely manner. We appreciated that. However, when the project started there were NUMEROUS flaws in communication. 1. We told our Mighty Dog rep the colors we wanted - black trim and white siding. The workers - who were a third party contractor, had to verify with us the color of our trim. Why was this not communicated to them? As a result, it created the first delay. 2. I had mentioned earlier the workers were a third party contractor. I wish this was communicated to us as we were under the assumption Mighty Dog would be the actual contractors. 3. As the project went on we saw MANY minor flaws. We understood that we could not judge the work until it was done, but it was concerning to see so many minor flaws everyday. We voiced this concern to our Mighty Dog rep and he assured us all touch up would be fixed after the project was done - wrong. 4. There was no clear point of contact on who to speak to on site. Occasionally, the Mighty Dog rep would be on site, but again, the word occasionally. 5. Timeframe of the project. They started the project in the middle of the week, Wednesday or Thursday (estimated). Mighty Dog told us they would be finished by that weekend - not realistic, especially when factoring in the miscommunication of the color of our trim. Throughout the process Mighty Dog would let us know the workers would be coming, but there were many occasions where no one would show up. 6. Garage trim. Within our contract, it stated all trim would be installed. Come to find out this excluded the trim around our garage. They informed us they could paint it, but they would install new trim due to it being the garage. 7. Lastly, after the project was complete we did a final walkthrough to point out the flaws. They did fix some items we pointed out, but never was there another walkthrough after touch up. We will take accountability for providing payment with dissatisfaction, but there comes a point where we just want to be done with them. Quality of Work: Disappointing siding work with subpar quality. The overall workmanship was poor, with uneven cuts and sloppy installation. I pointed out these issues, but the fixes—caulk or paint—felt like cheap patches rather than proper solutions. Despite the high cost to replace my old, rotting siding, the final result was unacceptable and didn’t justify the expense. As we mentioned before, our siding was entirely subcontracted out, which wasn’t clear or upfront and didn’t align with the professional image they project as the contractor - don't be fooled by the photos they have. There is no Mighty Dog team, it is subcontracted. Mighty Dog Roofing needs to improve quality control and transparency about subcontracting. I regret not choosing another company and can’t recommend them for siding projects. The result of our home is the epitome of "when in doubt, caulk it out."
