This place is in the famous white town. This place is inside a hotel with a old (french?) building. Place is very beautiful and the ambience is quiet and very nice. They have both in door and outdoor seating. Pondicherry weather is not going to help sitting outdoor may be except dec/jan. Their menu has good variety - indian, continental etc. we ordered prawn fry and a chicken starter. For main course again grilled chicken of some sort. Food was very nice, tasted good. I ordered a German beer, nothing great about it. Then switched to known brands. In summary , very good and very quiet and beautiful place. Good food and drinks. Must visit in Pondi. I think staying here will be exciting too!!

Chez Francis is one of those rare finds that somehow doesn’t show up often on Google, Google Maps, Swiggy Dineout, or other platforms—but absolutely deserves to! The cocktails here are outstanding—strong, well-crafted, and completely tailored to your taste. Mr. Balram, the host and bartender, is exceptional - both in terms of his skills and who he is as a person. He intuitively understands what you're in the mood for, whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic, and whips up incredible custom creations. The food is equally impressive, both in quality and portion size. The ambience is warm, inviting, and full of character—every moment here was delightful. If you’re in White Town, Pondicherry, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Mr. Ram and Ms. Priya are very warm and welcoming hosts. The breakfast offered here is freshly prepared and tasty. Can recommend.
