Chillies Bangladeshi & Indian Restaurant

Really could not rate The Swan more highly. We had booked 3 rooms for a couples stay, and were all incredibly impressed. When we arrived, we were shown to our rooms by the charming Luke, who made a big effort to make us feel at home, and informed us that our fist round of drinks was on the house, which I don't think I have ever been offered on a stay anywhere! The rooms were incredibly well thought out, with homemade cookies accompanying the the tea and coffee facilities, and tissues, ear plugs and pillow mist on the bedside table - a real home from home. Beautifully decorated, and remarkably good value.|Dinner was excellent, and it was great to see such a buzzing and packed restaurant - while the staff still found time to look after us impeccably (thank you Will). Could have picked anything on the menu, and despite the fact that a couple of the things we wanted had sold out (our fault - we ate late), we all had an excellent meal. Breakfast on Sunday was equally good... and if you want to travel with a dog, this is the place to come.... there was a whole doggy menu, and furry rugs for your pet to make themselves comfortable! |When we checked out, we were offered a free takeaway coffee for the car - again, something that sets this place apart. If we could lift it up and move it around the country, I would happily stay here all the time!|Many thanks for a really wonderful stay. I have worked in hospitality my whole life, and this place is a masterclass in how to get it right.

Stayed while visiting Cheddar Gorge, as only a short drive away. Beautiful room, excellent food and lovely, helpful and friendly staff. Gorgeous location and really nice welcome from staff. Complimentary drink at the bar when we arrived.. Ate Sunday lunch in the pub, excellent food and service. Breakfast next morning was super. And was even offered free takeaway hot drinks as we checked out. All this and dog friendly too! Would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed Saturday night at The Swan Inn in Rowberrow and stayed in the Lookout room, which was absolutely superb. The room was finished to a very high standard, with beautiful décor and a stunning bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we both had a really good night’s sleep.||||From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Luke looked after us from check-in onwards—welcoming us with a drink, showing us around the room, and just generally offering excellent hospitality throughout.||||Our evening meal was delicious, made even more special with a ‘Happy Anniversary’ card waiting for us on the table. Breakfast the following morning was just as impressive—we both had the full English, which was made with top-quality ingredients and cooked perfectly.||||Every part of our stay was faultless, with impeccable service from start to finish. As we checked out, we were even given two complimentary takeaway coffees for the journey home, which was a lovely final touch. A truly memorable stay—and we’ll definitely be returning soon.
