Customer experiences
TLDR: At each session, you get 5 minutes or less with the doctor and they bill your insurance over $400 for that time. If you decide you don't want to continue services anymore, you won't receive any refunds for your unused sessions (instead they'll tell you you were lucky you weren't charged MORE). They overschedule themselves and let people fall through the cracks. After they have your money, there will be no accountability from team at Addison Chiro One or from the corporate office. If you decide to give them a try, definitely DO NOT PREPAY! It's not worth the discount. I'm really disappointed with my experience at Chiro One. I completed 16 of my prescribed 24 sessions and saw absolutely no improvement. When I had my progress update days, Dr. Jake would ask me how I was doing. I'd say that I didn't feel any different or better, and we'd just leave it there- no changes to what we were doing. They had collected two range of motions tests with me but did not go over the results. When I spoke with Dr. Jake after I had quit services, he finally went over the results of my range of motion tests with me but still did not admit he had let this part of his job fall through the cracks. I honestly felt like a number there. It seemed like they overscheduled themselves and really couldn't give me individualized attention (hence why my progress checks were never shared with me until after I quit and after I complained). I tried to get a refund for my unused sessions, but Tegan Brown at corporate was rude to me and told me I was lucky my sessions didn't cost $9K. When I asked her who else I could file a complaint with, she said that she was "very good at her job" and the only person I could talk to. She said I could file a complaint with her, but I would have to trust her to do something with the complaint, and there would be no follow-up with me. I'm left feeling like my care was never a priority- it was about getting as much from me as fast as possible and then providing no accountability for what happened after that. At least, when I was frustrated, Dr. Jake listened and took the feedback. Tegan Brown at corporate was rude and, despite her reviews of her job performance (which she shared with me unsolicited), did not show any concern or empathy and only worsened my frustration.
I came here due to a car accident. I had back in June. I came in August to get my x-rays and hopefully receive treatment. I wanted to go through my car insurance since it was a car accident. I came back September 25, 2025 to get my X-ray results. Since the accident I have changed insurance company's and nolong with the previous insurance company. Chrione decided they do not want to take my case in the fear of not getting paid. I told them my insurance is still active. I just don't have insurance with them anymore, and my old insurance company would cover it. There was no position about the service and I can tell he was only in it for the money. Jake or Jacob decided I was going back in front and got bold and told me to pay $70 for treatment today or get out. I came back for my X-ray and to schedule my future visits. He was ruled by demanding money to be paid to him now, or for me to get out like I was nothing .I told him he did not have to be ruled or cocky. And not to talk to me like that. Plus Marisa went back to check my insurance. Jacob then said we are not taking a risk with your insurance. You can pay now or leave. And Marisa have people who are paying. Basically he was telling me my health is not important and he needed to get paid. Which I had no problem with paying for services that I received. If the insurance was going to pay for six sessions, then I have no problem with paying for the rest. They did not give me a chance plus anybody knows, if your insurance don't cover something you as the patient is responsible for the bill. The bottomline I have never been asked to leave a doctors office. A place of help, and I wanted to get the treatment, but with the rudeness of services. I will pass and get help somewhere else. I also guess by me being black he had the urge to be mean and aggressive to think he got his point across. The only point that was received was insecure or over cocky. Which is still insecure. Im not welcome here, because they did not want to go through my car insurance. They did not ask me if I wanted to pay the remainder 18 sessions out of pocket. The service here is terrible and unprofessional. Jacob or Jake need to learn better customer services. Plus I'm a driver and a hair stylist, so I have no problem with paying my way for services that I received.
Dr. Jacob knows - 10 stars!!! My Sciatica was killing me, and I frantically found them on Facebook ad - was a bit hesitant with the whole open concept but walked into warm smiles and cheerful hellos. Excellent, smart, and friendly nurses/staff. Even the customers are warm to you. The horrific pain down my back and leg increased when I was told this first visit was only an evaluation and I was not getting any treatment but seeing my horrific condition they took pity on my poor soul and Dr Jacobs agreed to help. He did an alignment on my back after reviewing my xrays to make sure nothing was broken. Immediate relief ran thru my back and legs = I could finally stand straight and breathe without pain. Going home and finally getting some much needed sleep after 4 agonizing days of pain and sleepless nights - I am truly endebted to this location. Signed up for the modest treatment plan that Dr. Jacob suggested. They are supportive and patient with my slow progress. The whole office knows your name. Happy, friendly neighborhood healing spot feeling every time you walk in.
Signed up for a 'special discount' intro session via the Southport Art Fair on 2025-07-14. The 'sellers' failed to tell us that the discount code didn't apply to those on medicaid. Instead the charge would be $100. The folks at the desk were super nice and apologetic - which was nice. But still - it felt like we were being 'selled to' - and got hit with an un-expected up-charge. This is the type of stuff that chiropractic institutions the label of a 'scam' and 'pseudoscience'. 0/10. Will never be going back.
