Got my gravel bike at this location and I can’t complain one bit!!! Their customer service is top notch and they always treat me like family. Even though I bought my road bike at another store I always bring my road bike here for service and tune up. The mechanics in the back are completely knowledgeable in what has to be done with both my gravel and road bikes and know exactly what to do when it comes to bike mechanics and maintenance. Highly recommended!
Best bike store, hands down. Great staff, great products.
The positive: They have good techs and plenty of bikes. The negative: Customer service is terrible. No one greets you when you walk in, and if you go to pick up your bike, get ready to wait a long time. They just don't seem to want to make anyone feel welcome, or help you if you need help. I brought in a tire to be changed, so the owner tells the the techs to fix it (in Spanish), and I'm waiting for 20 min, so I ask the techs if it's ready yet. They say no. Finally the girl at the front asks them in Spanish, and they say yes. She saw me waiting. Why didn't she help me?? Why didn't the techs tell anyone my tire was ready?? They just don't have a clue that people's time is important. This happens every time I go; it's not just this time. Fix your customer service! I'm not going back.
To summarize this review, all I'm going to say is that, from the day I walked in the doors at City Bikes I felt at home. I moved from Lexington, Kentucky in August, after graduating Law School and needed to find a new bike shop. I did a quick research and also read some reviews on various bike shops, but ultimately I decided to give City Bikes a try. It turned out to be a great decision. Although I'm in there just about two to three times a week for various problems going on with my bike I never have any issues with the staff taking care of me. Lionel, is the man. He was my first interaction at the store and I have since developed a relationship with him regarding my bike. He has definitely given me some great advice on how to become a better cyclist and introduced me to my first group rides. Although it's a bike shop and you guys are there to make money, he actually cares about stuff outside of sales. David (the manager) is always helpful with getting the best parts for my bike, and is very friendly when it comes to anything bike related. I've even shared a few personal things with him because he's earned my trust. That doesn't happen often when you open up to someone you just met. His advice and approach to my style of cycling always renders great results. Alex, (the mechanic) gets my bike right everytime I have a issue, regardless if the problem is complex or just a simple adjustment. Markelle, (salesman, does it all) has almost become a brother to me. I can tell he takes customer service very serious because whether he's talking to me or another customer in the store he is always giving tips on cycling, group rides and even what equipment to purchase. Monica, I've interacted with a few times and she always greets me when I come in the store. Agustin works on my bike whenever mechanical issues and flats. He even helped me when I had warranty issue with my Zipp 404 NSW Wheels. In short, some stores care about money and others care about people with the most expensive bikes. But often times forget about the most important aspect of business, customer service. I can't say that about City Bikes of Pembroke Pines because I feel as if customer service is first and everything else comes after that. As long as I'm staying down in the area this would be my go-to bike shop for anything that I may need.
