Customer experiences
Undecided on this review. Had the crab cakes appetizer, seemed like more filler than crab meat. We both ordered the lobster supper, which was very well priced. Included bread, mussels, potato salad and coleslaw were good. But there was no sauce with the mussels so I don’t understand the bread. The lobster was a hard shell, not a soft shell (aka shedder), which means you get more meat but the meat is tough and not as sweet. And it means the chef needs to crack the shell more as the customer will never be able to, regardless of what tools you get. It wasn’t cracked sufficiently. And it wasn’t as tasty as a soft shell, although, yes, you get more meat. Presentation was VERY nice. Parking can be very tight if they’re busy. Clean washrooms. It’s kid friendly so be prepared for tables with screeeeeaming kids. Service was good although the food wait time was a bit long. Not sure I would return, sorry.
The seafood chowder and the haddock and chips were both great! The chowder is full of salmon, haddock, clams and scallops in a beautiful cream base, served with a fresh biscuit. The haddock batter is not overwhelming and the fish is fresh. Attentive servers who take time to chat and made us feel welcomed. The view is gorgeous!
We had a semi private room booked for a family reunion for 30. Service did a great job timing drinks and dinner service. Everyone was happy with their meal. I loved the fish & chips and the chowder with mussels was amazing. Thank you Clam Diggers for a great evening and for your patience with our rambunctious family!
Beautiful spot we pulled into while biking along the Confederation Trail. An amazing patio view, quick, friendly service and delicious food. I'm gluten free and the staff prepared a GF halibut with sweet potato fries and it was amazing! Partner had a fish sandwich and loved it. 10/10 would return!
