Customer experiences
The food was absolutely delicious! The garlic shrimp was rich and flavorful, and the grilled octopus was perfectly cooked and aromatic. The house specialty dessert was also a wonderful surprise. Every dish recommended by the staff turned out to be a great choice. The service was warm and helpful, making the whole dining experience even better. Highly recommended!
Food was delicious and well portioned. The octopus was exceptional. Waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated as it was busy. Later explained that they were balancing reservations with walk up customers. The bachalau assado (cod), pulvo lagareiro (octopus), bife de baca (steak), and salad de mozzarella were are very good. They were very forward and pushy with the review. Seemed as though the bill was being held up to allow time for the review. Was given two free shots of tawny port as a “bribe” for the review. If I were in Lisbon again I would come again to try the fish soup and tiger prawns.
This is a solid restaurant that tourists could go and feel that they are getting a good fish meal for a decent price. Their service is good and honest. We had the variety fish plate and everything tasted good. They recommended the shrimp appetizer and we were glad to listened. Our waiter said it’s the restaurant speciality and I agree with her. The restaurant is in a very touristy part of the old city. So, it’s a draw if your luck to find a seat outside, where you wan to be :).
We were walk-in customers of 5 and were seated immediately. The food is 10/10 and this was the first restaurant we went to in Lisbon!! Staff were so attentive and can’t fault the food nor service. This restaurant gave us a proper introduction to Portuguese cuisine and we loved every bit of it! My favourite dishes were the grilled octopus and bacalhau a bras. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant and will definitely come back here when I go back to Lisbon! Really can’t fault it at all!
