We had such a great experience with Manny at Uptown Taxi! We arrived at the cruise port around 8:45 PM and thought about trying to make it to Butchart Gardens since they were open until 10. Manny, who is a born-and-raised local, was honest with us and explained that we’d feel rushed and wouldn’t get the full experience, even with the lights. Instead, he suggested giving us a city tour and some time for souvenir shopping. It was the perfect option for the short time we had in Victoria. We got to see the scenic highlights of the city, learn interesting local facts, and really get a feel for the area. Manny was so hospitable- he offered to take photos, gave great food and drink recommendations, and was patient while we shopped before dropping us back off. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we were able to see and do in such a short amount of time. Highly recommend Manny if you’re visiting Victoria and want a thoughtful, knowledgeable guide!

We booked Uptown Taxi for a 4 am drive to the airport, and we were delighted with the service. When we booked, Christopher, one of the owners, gave us his mobile number in case we needed to reach him. In the morning, he was in our driveway at 3:45 am and texted us that he was outside. The roomy vehicle was spotless and Christopher went above and beyond with courtesies such as holding doors open for us, etc. This is a small company that is trying hard to please customers. We will definitely use UptownTaxi again.
