I was hit by an uninsured drunk driver in September 2024. This happened at a time in my life when I was already in the midst of a very trying and dark time. I spent 15 days in the hospital, and had a several months long recovery period. On top of that, my insurance backdated my coverage after my discharge from the hospital, leaving me with a hefty bill.
