The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and the after sales service is great! A bonus is supporting a local Canadian business instead of a big box American chain! I definitely recommend them!

I’ve never left a bad review before, but this experience has been frustrating. Nearly a month ago, I brought in my laptop with a broken screen. They informed me they would need to order a replacement screen, which would cost about $200 and take a few days. I immediately agreed. After two weeks of no updates, I called to check in (Week of October 7th) and was told the person handling it was out sick but that they’d contact me when it was ready. Another two weeks go by, and I call again. When I asked when I could pick it up, I was informed they hadn’t even ordered the part. They claimed they tried to call me on October 3rd, but regardless, I had already given them permission in person and over the phone. When my grandmother went to pick up the laptop, they tried to gaslight her by saying, “we’re not going to order a $200 part without permission.” This is infuriating because I had already given full authorization from the start. They were just slacking. Their lack of professionalism and failure to follow basic instructions is infuriating. As a student, I’ve lost nearly a month because of their incompetence. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, and I advise anyone who values their time to do the same.

If you're seeking repairs and analysis for low costs, or custom pc builds to satisfy your basic needs (home, office, gaming), you're likely in the right place. I don't think I've ever spent $100 for any repairs, often not even $50. Their current custom pc builder seems rather friendly towards consumers who like brands that are popular in Canada, gamers who seek to have the newest gaming setups, and less tech-savvy consumers who'd rather put their trust in his judgment. However, if you're someone who puts in hours into researching parts—like the types of RAM dies there are—and utilized a website to help envision your dream build, I'm sorry to disappoint you. The builder voiced his displeasure in dealing with those who come with these Custom PC Builder lists, seemingly refuses to order from those websites' recommended resellers, and insists in ordering parts from retailers he recommends, like ASUS, MSI, Corsair, Kingston, and other. After putting in 2 weeks of research in an effort to make a detailed list—avoiding companies with bad customer support, checking QVL lists to ensure the parts were tested for the motherboard, comparing parts online, watching and reading various reviews—I visited the store to confirm if he received my detailed emails. He acted rather unprofessionally towards me: Eyes averted, moping around, and putting down my choices, because some of my preferences hadn't matched his. He called the high quality parts from my home country—which costs me more than twice as much as the cheaper Asian parts he recommended—as "Chinese knockoffs", presumably due to misapprehension; but, it was enough that I almost leapt across that counter and knocked his teeth in, though I managed to keep my composure. Whether intentional or unintentional, I found his overall behavior rather unprofessional. So, if you want affordable repairs, or a pc which parts are chosen for you—not necessarily by you—then I wouldn't doubt that you may leave ComputerSense satisfied. But, if you're like me and don't want RAM with Samsung or Micron dies, prefer quality over quantity despite the price, and want a pc that's made to last, it may be better if you looked elsewhere or build it yourself. I have quite the respect for the owner—he never overcharged me and answered many of my questions—and as such I won't go below 3 stars to review his business, but unfortunately my 1-star experience with that one employee brought my overall score down to this. Unfortunately, I believe that I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future, in the off chance that I may run into that one employee and get myself trespassed for assaulting him for his misbehavior. I highly doubt I'd ever punch someone for making me upset, but will not deny that being in the presence of him would likely ruin my day. UPDATE: I read the well-detailed response and I want to assure people that I much of a pacifist who very much dislikes violence. This added text became too long, so I had to shorten my previous message a little. I've heard many good things about the owner, the history of the shop, and had an excellent experience with this knowledgeable beforementioned person. Perhaps this could have been avoided, had the builder informed me—before I was looking into these parts—that "I only order from these companies, I do not care for European or other parts that aren't readily accessible in Canada, and we do not deal with resellers like Amazon". I do apologize for any upset that I may have unintentionally caused, perhaps he felt that I had insulted his judgment, much like how I felt insulted that he described the parts from my homeland as Chinese knockoffs. Nevertheless, I do not believe I will be returning to ComputerSense, to avoid any unnecessary drama. I'm sure most employees are doing an excellent job—the many positive reviews seem to reflect this claim—it's only unfortunate that things didn't go as I had planned. While they may have lost 2 customers on that day, I'm sure they'll gain many more in the future. Thanks for reading this and have a nice day.
