Connecticut Counseling Center

I have been seeing Amanda at Connecticut Counseling Center for several years and I have nothing but good things to say. She is patient, empathetic and intelligent, all traits to look for in a therapist. She is also professional, highly skilled and very knowledgeable about her craft. Not every therapist is as obviously passionate as Amanda. Scheduling and dealing with insurance is easy, the office is clean and cozy and they have coffee and really good snacks. The other therapists I’ve worked with here are also great. I’m very grateful to have found her, she has helped me immensely in the time I’ve been seeing her and many bad decisions have been avoided heeding her advice. I’d hate to imagine where my life would be without having had a good therapist these last few years. Highly recommended.

My experience with CT Counseling Center has been very positive. I have been with them for several years, and I have always felt cared for in a warm and welcoming way. A team of authentically compassionate and highly skilled therapists (who are taking new clients) is like a unicorn find these days! I virtually see the owner, Amanda, who is excellent. She has always created a safe, warm, and welcoming virtual space that puts me at ease and has enabled me to become part of a trusting and transparent therapeutic relationship with her. I often forget that we are online because it ceased to be relevant after a few sessions; our work is just as valuable as in-person sessions would be. Amanda has been very professional and is highly skilled, and has a genuine passion for helping others heal and grow. I feel we fit well even though we have very different lived experiences. She is caring and also able to guide and push me as needed in my process. Amanda takes the time to truly listen, understand, and create a space for exploring sensitive issues. She meets me where I am. Scheduling is painless, and they are flexible when life happens and adjustments are needed. They had issues with a billing company at one time, but they made sure the errors were fixed immediately and found a new professional billing solution. I've never had a problem with any of the ways the business runs because they are always on top of any issues that come up. I also saw another therapist at CT Counseling Center when Amanda was out on maternity leave, and I was very pleased with the quality of the therapists in the practice. They made sure I did not get lost in the shuffle when this transition was needed and it went seamlessly. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am to have found this exceptional practice. CT Counseling Center has provided me with the tools and support to navigate my life's challenges, especially during some very difficult times.

Connecticut Counseling Center has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff and supervisors were professional and always available for support. They have a wonderful online portal that makes scheduling and communication easy to fit around my schedule.
