Your Traveling PotterI'm new to LA, and needed a key made. I was headed to a 'big box' store, but hoped for something more local and personal. I asked a neighbor and she said, ' go to the famous hardware store ' they've been there for a long time. I found Garvanza Hardware and I had my keys made! Keys, hardware, paint supplies, plumbing, gardening tools, vinyl fabric, ... It's a treasure. Parking is on the street or across the street off York. #keysmadehere Hours as if 8-24-24: M-F 8-5:30 Sat. 8-5 Closed Sunday 🙏🏼

Marlena FeeheryThis hardware store had the only space heater left in town in January. It worked great and came with a personal recommendation by the salesclerk who sold it to me. You can’t get better than that, especially when Home Depot refuses to restock their seasonal items even when they run out long before the season is over, or when Amazon lets you down yet again. I always try this store first before any of the big corporations now. The guys that work here will also take the time to explain what you’re buying and how it works, if you need it. I really hope this place survives the gentrification tsunami taking over Highland Park. They are essential to the neighborhood.
