I've had policies through this branch of co-operators for over 15 years now and, as part of the Aug 5/24 hail storm, I've had to submit my first claim. It was made clear to me that only if I used their preferred contractor (Clear Choice) would Co-operators guarantee the work, so it made sense to pursue this avenue. I could go into detail about my journey since then but I'll keep it short. Shingles were left on my lawn for 2 weeks, killing about a quarter of my lawn (almost all other homes had their shingles delivered onto their roof). The roof was done but then leaked a few weeks later. I was lied to and told it was my attached neighbours roof which created a whole headache before Clear Choice confirmed it was actually my roof that was done improperly. My brown stained deck, was painted a light opaque grey without asking me. They then painted it a better colour but only painted one fence so now my two fences are different colours. I was just informed that siding is another minimum 16 weeks away from being started, so the most optimistic completion is well over 18 months since the claim was started. Communication is sparse and the only thing my adjuster ever says is that I'm still in the queue so everything is good. I cannot believe I am still going through this when most other projects around my neighbourhood have been completed for months and how many mistakes there have been along the way.

Had a car damaged while parked and it has been an ongoing nightmare to get it repaired. I have always assumed that when you state rear drivers side that the average person would understand what area of the car and what “parked” also means. These fools apparently can not understand that. It’s been a month and still waiting for them to do their thing. Complete joke of a company.

I switched to them two years ago after my former broker started dropping their bar on service and raising it on price!
