Customer experiences
I love studying in this college because there are a various volunteer activities and programs which help students to get experience as well as the college celebrate all the festivals no matter which culture relates with it. Also, the entire staff is very friendly and supportive for students. There are awards and appreciation parties for students to motivate them on their hard work and volunteer work.
Coquitlam College has indeed been a great choice for my Associate of Arts degree program. The staff, from professors to the librarian, from security personnel to office members, the counsellors, volunteers, all had a deep positive impact on my life and taught me valuable life lessons. I am happy and proud to be a part of this eminent institution.
I attended my friend’s graduation ceremony and was very disappointed with how poorly it was organized, especially considering they charged $210 per student. Around 500 students from three semesters were crammed into a small casino space, making it overcrowded and uncomfortable. Instead of splitting the event to make it more manageable, everything was rushed. The food was extremely minimal — just yogurt and raw vegetables — which was very disrespectful, especially knowing the majority of students were Indian and would expect at least a decent meal. There were no drinks offered either, only water, and anything else had to be purchased. The ceremony itself felt impersonal — just a quick handshake and back to your seat. With such a long event, it’s natural to need a break, but when we stood in the corridor or used the washroom, we were scolded and told to go back or leave entirely. They even threatened “strict action,” which was very uncalled for. This event felt more like a formality than a celebration. If you’re going to charge that much, at least provide proper service, comfort, and hospitality. Some students bought their parents, it was embarrassing for us to show how international students are being treated even after paying so much!!
I like being a student here in Coquitlam College. I really love the dance club. I am the volunteer student librarian here and library staff is so kind and supportive.
Coquitlam College is a college.
