I purchased two properties through CR of Maryland in 2023. The first was fine, but the second turned into a complete management failure. Rent was never received for months, the property went into abatement shortly after closing, and it turned out the tenants CR placed had multiple prior evictions — something I had to uncover myself and resolve through eviction. I was told the property had key system upgrades, including a new roof, but the inspection report (which I didn’t receive until closing) said otherwise — resulting in expensive, unplanned repairs. Communication was slow or nonexistent, and when I raised concerns, ownership was dismissive and offered no real resolution. CR has since exited the property management business without warning, leaving many investors with unmanaged properties. I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable turnkey experience.
