Craddock Roofing

My husband and I had a roof put on a couple of years ago by Walton Roofing,They did a great job. We were very happy with there work. We decided to use Walton Roofing again for our second home. Things went really wrong. We had new decking put on, new roof, support's for roof, new trim, new soffits, and pourch redone. We were quoted an over all price but charged again twice since original quote. When the ceiling was exposed due to the decking being gone, a worker accidentally stepped wrong and a 6ft. X 3ft. Section of ceiling in the living room came down. They fixed it, after after 3 tries. It's not perfect but ok. They broke our outside water faucet when they were throwing shingles from the roof. We had to shut the water off for hours till they fixed it. They messed up a total of 5 slates on 2 different window blinds. We let it go because my son fixed them. They broke our back door outside light fixture. They replaced it. They dintied the front screen door and damaged the handle where it wouldn't latch. They put another handle. It won't lock now and they did nothing for the dint in the door. When they installed the new soffits, they didn't match up just right so it left a space between the soffits and the house. We called them to come back out. They did. They put up trim all the way around the house to fill in the gap and charged us more money. They decided to keep the plywood that they removed from the roof because it was still in good condition. It was removed because it had been ran the wrong way. It was real plywood not that pressed plywood that they use today. They spent hours knocking out the nails to keep the wood and just left hundreds of nails in my yard. I had to call them back to pick them up. They did. They left 3 deep ruts in our yard and they never fixed them along with some trash they left. What upset us the most is when they installed the roof they forgot to vent the hot water heater. It was a month before we noticed it. For one month carbon dioxide was venting into the garage instead of out of the roof. How do you roof a house and not cut a hole for the hot water heater vent? My family could have gotten really sick! I called them to come fix it. They came two days after I called. When they went to fix it, they broke a piece of pipe. Instead of replacing the piece they broke they pulled the pipe to make it work and leaving the pipe in a bind which was not correct or safe. They didn't even tell us they were finished and just left. We had enough! We had to call a plumber who fixed it correctly so it would pass inspection. I have photos of everything to back up my claim. This is an honest and fair review. The roof does look nice considering the nightmare we went through. EDIT!!. Well we went to use the back pourch light that Walton Roofing broke and replaced, and it through a breaker. They didn't even ground the wire and upon close inspection there was a screw going through the wire. So now I'm going to have to call an electrician. Thanks again Walton for another thing gone wrong!, They didn't pick up the nails of the perimeter of the yard

Great experience with Walton. Mike Ross was our rep and made the process easy. The necessary materials were already in Houston so my new roof was entirely complete within a few days of paying the initial deposit. The crew worked fast, protected our pool and patio furniture and did a pretty decent clean-up. Mike showed up personally the following day to inspect my property, did a final thorough magnet sweep for any remaining nails and collect the outstanding balance. New roof looks great, install was quick, quality of work seems tight - Great experience overall.

Walton did an amazing job installing a new roof after a storm damaged it. Their people's quick response from the quotation to completion was the best. The roof and gutter system they suggested installing made our house look brand new. What a great job.
