Crest Country Inn

I typically only write reviews if it’s really good or really bad and in this case it’s the latter. Called on a Friday and needed a room until Monday, $179 (and some change) perfect! Showed up 10 minutes later to check in and was charged what she said (plus $100 refundable deposit). I had worked 12 hours that day and just wanted a shower, it was after the fact I noticed the lack of amenities. The pool and hot tub are shut down, in fact looks like it’s been a storage room for a while. They do not serve breakfast, only coffee and apple juice, there’s also no AC in the lobby and apparently they only clean your room every three days. The room itself was just “eh”, old and not updated, definite smell to the room and only 2 towels. Still at this point I’m okay with it because it came out to like $60/night. Oh, also everyday I had to go get my key reactivated. Which brings me to today, they apparently had me checking out Sunday not Monday, which changes my nightly rate to $80+tax. Honestly for that price I could have stayed somewhere else that had the amenities included. Don’t waste your time or money at this place and find a better hotel!

The gentleman who checked us in, was fairly rude....he CHARGED an extra $100 security fee??? I understand when a motel wants a credit card in case there's damage to the room, but I don't understand being charged $100 before I even see the room . When I got to the room, I photographed the damage there was. Also the towels were dirty, the microwave was missing. They have a nice looking property overall, but need to keep their rooms decent and treat their customers better

The desk attendant was rude, on what seemed to be a video call with 6 other people when we walked up and kept the calling going while checking us in. The light switch does not work when you walk in the room. That lighting in the room overall was not great. We checked the bed and it appeared somewhat dirty under the mattress but thankfully no bed bugs. The couple checking out ahead of us were double charged for their room and still hadn’t received their refund when they left. The only positive was the bed was relatively comfortable. They do not even provide shampoo AND conditioner, instead it’s a dispenser of both combined and every guest uses the same one. I don’t recommend this place.
