Customer experiences
My family loves the Alpaca farm we visit lots in the summer just stopping in to feed and pet the Alpacas in the petting area. They do lots for the community putting on 2 great events an Alpaca day and a fall fest with face painting and pumpkin decorating. We’ve been hooked for the last 8 or 9 years bringing all of our family and friends when they come to visit us from other places. The owners are great and have answered my kids questions showing kindness.
This place is worth stopping at. Nice staff and the Alpacas are adorable. You can just stop and look or pay to feed and pet some.
So much fun! My toddler son loved the sand box and to run alongside the alpacas. There were so many alpacas to see and the babies were very cute. We were able to feed the alpacas and see the yarn being made from their wool. They also gave a variety of items in their gift shops made from the alpaca fiber. A very neat experience for sure!
My family is local, we stopped here in November during business hours and there were kids and several adults inside the barn with the alpacas viewable to patrons. We have 3 small kids who were immediately excited at the thought of going inside the barn to pet one. We found out quickly the group was the owners/ owners family. Inside we asked the owner about this and she was extremely rude. She told us it was our bad timing (business hours). I said simply that our kids were disappointed (wasn’t asking for anything in particular) and her response instead of being gracious/ caring as a business owner / showing empathy to customers was to say “well they are my animas and I do what I want with them.” I would not recommend this place based on the owners rude behavior. Having tons of family with the alpacas during business hours is one issue, but the way the owner responded was completely inappropriate (in front of my 3 little kids). I will continue to tell our local community to choose other activities, no humanity at this place. Also it’s basically just a store and a view to alpacas not worth the drive.
Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm and Boutique is a boutique.
