Yesterday, July 30, 2025, I was traveling along the QEW when I experienced a road rage incident by a Gavro truck driver. I was in the car with my mom and 7 month old baby when I noticed the Gavaro truck switch lanes right behind me (middle lane). I was traveling with the speed of traffic when the Gavro truck suddenly started blaring his horn and riding my bumper. The truck was so close to my car that I could only see his grill, not the bumper. My mom, who was sitting in the back seat with my baby, could see the driver freaking out. At first, I thought there was an accident, and the horn was a warning, but I realized the Gavro truck driver was doing this to bully me, intentionally scaring me, and was acting aggressively towards me. He was laying on his horn the entire time he was behind me. I panicked and was terrified. The truck was so close to me that if I had to stop or slam on my breaks there is no way my family would survive, we would be wiped off the face of the earth because the Gavro truck driver would not have time to stop or break properly at 110 km. I didn't know what to do, other than wait to safety switch to the right-hand lane. Only once I switched lanes, the driver stopped blaring his horn. When I switched lanes, the Gavro truck passed me and the driver leaned alllllllll the way over to the passenger side to give me the finger. Once a few vehicles were between us, I switched back to the middle lane. That's when I saw the Gavro truck now back in the right-hand lane and was going to take the Fifty Road exit. The head office is off the Fifty Road exit, so I am assuming they were going there. When we passed the Gavro truck, the driver again gave me the finger. I was so shocked. I kept thinking that if something happened, the truck could have seriously injured my family or killed us. This was a clear incident of road rage, dangerous and reckless driving. There's absolutely ZERO excuse for how the truck driver behaved. NOTHING they can say or do will ever make it ok that their driver put a babies life at risk...and just to take the exit a few minutes later. Seeing the rest of these reviews, I don't think Gavro Freight takes road safety seriously at all and clearly does not discipline, train, or properly screen the drivers. If anyone encounters Gavro trucks acting this way, I highly suggest calling *677 (OPP) to file an incident report. Their drivers are risking all of our lives. This is completely unacceptable and disgusting that Gavro drivers are driving the way they are.
De-ice the trailer before you depart from your hub. At least 6inch thick ice all over the trailer rooftop from nose to tail.. this is gonna go flying all over and probably kill someone one day. Driver also switch lane in your face last second like a mental... !Welcome to the Danger zone! (Pic Taken at border crossing sarnia/port huron 24/02/25).
There drivers are not safe. To see a transport driver go from a stop to a serve into a lane , than use a merging lane again to cut everyone again .
