Recently, I had no hot water and issues with the air conditioning system. They quoted $190 for a visit to check the issues. They came, fixed the hot water quickly, and then inspected the air conditioner, saying, 'It seems there's a problem with the fan.' They asked for $600. However, there was no problem with the fan. They then said the entire heating/air conditioning system needed to be replaced. I paid the $600 they initially requested. The replacement cost was quoted at $3,329. They came and replaced the entire system in about 30 minutes. They then demanded $3,329. I told them that since I had already paid $600 for a repair that wasn't actually done, they should subtract that from the $3,329. I argued that it didn't make sense, but then he threatened to remove the newly installed unit. I couldn't agree to that, but I had no choice but to give in to their demands.
