Dan from danco trucking and bobcat did an exceptional job in helping us get the driveway we can feel proud of. We have always had problems with grass growing up through the stones. Dan was able to dig down enough to remove the grass and place a beautiful layer of recycled ashfault on the driveway. Dan was knowledgeable and professional and always had a smile on his face. He had our driveway completed in a very timely manner , and even removed an old sidewalk block that we no longer needed ( including the wasp nest underneath it) . I would highly recommend Dan at Danco trucking and bobcat , for all your excavation needs .

Dan was a pleasure to work with, and he went above and beyond what was expected for the amount of work and the value, but I wanted to post an honest review, but he still warrants 5-stars. The quotation: He came to our house after-hours to quote the job. He gave great insight and things that I never thought about that would be great additions. You could clearly tell that he was passionate, and he knew what he was talking about. The quote I got was on the higher side of what he said verbally, but given the amount of work that needed to be done. It made sense on why and we moved ahead. The detail of the quote was a bit confusing and when he said, I'll get you sod at "x" pricing... what he really meant was... You buy the sod at that pricing from this company. Timeframe: We were told that it would be completed by a certain time, and I ordered everything accordingly including lining up labour to finish the complete the job. The client before us, wanted extra work, and paid Dan more to finish the job and make this a priority... this sidelined our job, and Dan came after-hours to try and finish what he could, but it messed up delivery times, and my labour was not available during these times. We postponed the delivery of the sod and Tree planting a few times, and I was thankful for the flexibility of the nursery. Workmanship: Absolutely above and beyond, the care and detail he took to making sure that he had it right was without question a thing of excellence. He even helped out with moving a bit of rock, even though that was not part of the quote. We were super grateful for the attention to detail, and keep in mind that all this was done after a very long day of excavating each time. So you could really tell that he was doing everything he could to make us happy, but he was in high demand so things didn't go as smoothly as he hoped. Overall: I was able get my neighbour and a friend to help out when it came to crunch time, and I couldn't be happier with the overall result. We finally have a useable yard for my kids to play in and enjoy for years to come. This was years trying to make this happen, and Dan made this possible and so much more. You are probably wondering why I gave him 5-stars when it wasn't a perfect experience. As a business owner myself, I understand the anomalies that can arise during a project, and it was clear that Dan was giving his all despite the circumstances. It would be unfair for me to penalize him over an anomaly. If you hire Dan, you will be very happy with the experience, and the overall workmanship.
