I've had my haircut here a few times and I have always had a great experience. Most recently, I had a scheduling mix up and the owner and Sean worked with me to stay late to make sure I was taken care of. I really appreciate the staff and management here, they run a great business! Highly recommended

I’ve been getting cuts from Sean (now at DAPR) and the experience at this shop is top-tier. The salon lives up to its reputation — clean, stylish, relaxed, and well-designed. DAPR has that blend of speakeasy/barbershop energy. Sean is precise, listens to what you want, and delivers consistent results. Plus, the staff there seem sharp and passionate. Between the atmosphere, craft, and service — it’s hard to beat. If you want a cut that’s more than functional — something intentional and refined — DAPR is a great pick.

2nd UPDATE 7/5/25: I’m going to raise my star rating because… I’m not trying to ruin their business and as a business owner myself that wasn’t the intent. I’m just surprised I still never got a call back from the owner to come in. Anywho, I know this review has gotten a ton of attention but again, maybe you’ll have or have had a different experience. I was just frustrated that this was mine. ✌🏽 UPDATE: A little surprised at the response. I am definitely willing to give it a second chance. Again, I was just very surprised and only posted my review because I had paid good money for the cut plus tip. I did explain to the person that called me that I’m traveling a lot due to work for a couple months. However, I’m back in the area and will definitely give it a second chance. As an “adult” and a business owner myself I know there are bad days so I appreciate the follow up and I hope to update this review as soon as I reschedule. ORIGINAL: The service was friendly but idk. I felt a little rushed. From the moment I walked in I was told to let my barber know what I wanted because it may be outside his area of expertise which I appreciate. However after that I wasn’t really asked what I wanted to do with my beard. Perhaps it’s partially my fault for just allowing him to assume and not speaking up but I think asking a customer what they want to do with their beard would be a service call considering your paying a premium price for a cut. I also saw a lot of products that I wish o would have been told about but again, idk, I just felt rushed. I’m heading home to see if I can fix my beard now before I go on my trip to PR. I think I just expected more since I had read some great reviews. Other than that the cut itself was okay. I got home and realized my neck line was completely crooked and now I need to go home and fix it. For the price I just had better expectations.

Edit: I appreciate businesses responding to feedback, but I was surprised by the tone and content of the reply I received. To clarify: this was never about being “intimidated by the price.” I’m happy to pay premium rates for high-value service. My review reflected a value concern—not a financial one. I also took care to be respectful and factual in my original review. Rather than addressing the feedback directly, the response from the owner felt dismissive and personal. That’s disappointing, especially for a business in a service industry. I stand by my review, have adjusted to 1 star for these unprofessional comments, and hope future feedback—positive or negative—is met with a more professional tone. For the owners future reference. Despite my anonymity, which is a means of protection, if you had simply responded professionally and asked that I call, and you will make it right, I would have likely just removed this review all together. Original Review: Not a great experience. On the positive side, the place is pretty cool inside, and they give free drinks. The stylist I had did spend a lot of time cutting my hair and did the beard trim well. Apart from that, I don’t think that I’ve had this bad of a haircut experience since Supercuts at 16. Given the price differential of $80, I think this is deserving of review. I wouldn’t exactly call the stylist I had rude, but he definitely did seem like he did not want to be there, and seemed a bit annoyed by my presence frankly. Maybe an off day, maybe just a reserved personality. So I wouldn’t write a negative review on this alone, but given everything else… He was very aggressive during the wash. I don’t recall ever having my hair pulled so aggressively, it was painful. I see at least one other review at random with this similar complaint, so I’d venture to guess we had the same stylist. He clearly did not listen and to my haircut request. I showed him a pic of myself at the length I like it. The end result was drastically shorter. I thought maybe I was just seeing things, so asked my fiance and friends, and all were in agreement that the length difference was basically inexcusable. I have (or had) long hair, so it’s not like this is some 2 week difference. It will take months for my hair to grow back to where I like it. It’s part of who I am, so I’m mildly devastated frankly that this part of me is gone for at least 6 months, because a stylist simply didn’t care. Apart from this, he frankly did an odd cut. The length of sides/back is obviously going to be shorter than the top, but it’s definitely not proportional. Unless I’m very careful about styling, it frankly looks like a bowl cut. All in all, I still gave a good tip, because that’s just what you do I suppose. But I won’t be coming back, especially for this price point. I’ve had better haircuts at small town barbers for 15 bucks.
