As a soon-to-be mother-of-the-bride, I contacted Darrell Thomas Textiles for some alterations. When I brought my dress in it had spaghetti straps and a laced back. I wasn't happy with the top part, thinking it made me look "bulky". Khala suggested I use the excess material from the "train" of the dress to make some slightly wider shoulder straps. That helped a lot, but I still felt that I wanted something more. She helped me choose some very attractive black lace and made a bolero for me. It was exactly what the outfit needed. Amazing service and craftsmanship at a very affordable rate. Can't wait to show it off at the wedding!

Amazing selection of the finest quality buttons and fabrics. Darrell Thomas Textiles has the BEST selection in the region. I sew garments for the most part and when I moved to the NCR I was frustrated at not having great resources in the area and then I discovered this place. I wandered in one late afternoon and found the most beautiful designer suiting that I couldn’t pass up. I met and chatted with Darrell and had the loveliest conversation. A truly lovely fabric shop! It's hard to find such a great selection of high-end fabrics in Canada. Darrell is so welcoming and kind, and you can tell he's passionate about what he does. So glad I was able to stop by on my trip to Almonte!
