DAWAT Event Management and Catering

This review is long due but better late than never. I wish there was a zero star option because that's what their unprofessional and incompetent team deserves. It started in December 2024 when I was planning an annual event on behalf of my workplace. Following the standard practice, we got a few quotes, one from DAWAT as well. They were on the pricier side but we didn't mind since we wanted a really nice event, we went ahead with them followed by their constant reassurances that everything will be as per the highest standards, etc. which later proved to be the biggest miscommitment. Think of everything that can go wrong in an event and watch your worst nightmares come true on the big day. Our guests arrived, not to mention the CEO too, and NOT EVEN A SINGLE THING was ready. Tables, centerpieces, stage, everything was being setup in front of the guests. Everything that was shown and promised to us in the proposal was all fake and empty words, they even got our brand colors wrong. Super unprofessional service, not a single thing was even close to the promised standards. The decor, lighting, tables, chairs, buffet setup, etc. everything was so so subpar and of just poorest quality. I was constantly asking them to get everything ready and their incompetent and unprofessional staff Parwara kept on asking for half an hour more that never actually came even till the end of the event. We had to start the event while their staff was working and getting things ready as the guests were being seated. Be mindful that we were more than an hour late already due to their incompetence. I had put so much emphasis on the entryway and the welcome sign (they arranged something from some wedding and our poster was pasted on it and one could read the wedding writings on the back, it was see through), the entry was just a dirty red carpet with no polls and backdrop, utterly pathetic. The photo booth was being painted over and the text was being scrapped off infront of the guests and while the event was happening, was placed right at the entrance so everyone coming was watching it, it was finished when it was already dark at the end of the event and we got hardly 3,4 pictures in it that were so terrible because of the lighting that they can not be used. The only good thing was the food and the decent man managing it, they had outsourced hence we were saved. They even messed up the dessert, I specifically chose Strawberry cheesecake and they tried to fool us with strawberry ice cream. It was so embarrassing as even the menu cards were placed on the tables and people could obviously tell the difference between ice cream and a cheesecake. The photography was just average, we got the pictures with no editing. Its been almost 7 months and still we have not received the video of the event (which was mentioned in the proposal and was a requirement of ours as well). Then we were told to empty the venue while the guests were mingling and talking, imagine asking your guests to leave. When we were communicated that we booked it for the entire day. JUST PATHETIC. They messed up in every way possible and succeeded in ruining our annual event. We held off their 50% remaining payment that we would have cleared if they would have given us the video but they didn't bother so I didn't either. They knew they messed up badly because they did not ask for the remaining payment even once. But even from the start, it wasn't about the money, it was about the experience that they ruined in every way possible. A BIG NO. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORDS OR THEIR FLASHY PROPOSALS. SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT.
