Customer experiences
Was forced to change rooms 3 times. Our first room was handicap accessible. However; the TV and AC did not work. 2nd room had AC but no TV. 3rd room had both was wasn't handicap accessible. They had no maintenance employee at the hotel, and I was switched to a cheaper room and wasn't compensated for what I paid for. The ONLY reason I go to motel 6 is because of our dog. If you don't have pets, it's better to stay away.
Would give 0 stars if possible. I booked 4 rooms for a corporate event. Prior to booking, I asked extensive questions on whether I could book on behalf of vendors and I would not be on-site when the vendors checked in. I was reassured this was possible and that my corporate card could be charged without me physically being there. They took my credit card information and said they would send me confirmation email. Even after the stay, no email was ever sent. I had to call numerous times and stop in on-site to verify that the reservation was actually made. Each time customer service seemed clueless. Additionally, my credit card number was "stored" in a notes section which seemed extremely unsafe and available to eyes that should not be privy to this information. Out of an abundance of caution, I stopped in the day of check-in and was told that I would have to be present to pay for the rooms. I paid for the rooms prior to vendors arriving and the vendors still were met by customer service confusion upon check-in. Vendors also said that sheets, floors, bathrooms, pillows, etc. were absolutely disgusting. Additionally, patrons were screaming, yelling, and banging on doors at all hours of the night with no front desk intervention. From start to finish, working with this site was absolutely horrendous and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until drastic changes are made. As a business, it was an absolute embarassment to book this hotel.
I chose a room with one queen bed for a quick overnight with my husband. First, when we arrived there was no one sitting at the front desk and we waited 5-10 mins for anyone to show up and allow me to check in. Second, the elevator made terrible sounds/rattled when we took it to the second floor. Third, the room was superficially clean at best. The bathroom floor had hair and gunk on the edges of the floor. Frankly, it felt sketchy and grimy. I get that this is one of the few places that allow pets (we didn’t have one with us), but if anything you should up your cleaning standards, not lower them. This hotel was a poor choice on my part and I will not visit again.
Room was pretty average for the price, but the beds were comfortable and I slept pretty well. Love the shower, and the location was really convenient as far as restaurants were concerned. All together it was a nice stay.
Days Inn by Wyndham Calumet Park is a hotel.
