This location should be condemned and demolished! This is a government subsidized property that is disguising itself as a motel. The only reason we booked here is because we were traveling with 2 dogs and it came up on my Bring Fido App as well as the recent reviews (which are good for some unknown reason) However, upon arrival we quickly discovered that this is no ordinary motel, after traveling for 15 hours! The lobby is closed to the public, the entire property smells of cat urine and pot, the room was barely cleaned. I re-wiped the floors with paper towels we brought with us and they were black! The shower handle was broken so we only had cold water and we could not use it room 227. The beds and pillows were hard as concrete. The only saving grace is that the AC was ice cold and loud enough to drown out the outside noises. The people living there hung out in front of their rooms all day staring us down as we walked our dogs. We booked for 2 nights and left after one! We could not have stayed another night in such a place as it just did not feel safe nor comfortable. When I gave our key back to the lobby and told them we are checking out they said okay and that is it. The staff does not seem to care either way as it was the same experience checking in. We didn’t even care to get the money back for one night as we just wanted to leave this hell hole! We are officially done with the Motel 6 Brand as we stayed in the Rolling Meadows location a few years back and it was a similar vibe there as well. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Stayed here almost a week in total between last week and this week. If I could give 0 stars I would but staff ain’t that bad and kids/dogs free, so the one star can stay. There was dried blood on walls and linen. The room wasn’t clean at all. There was holes in bathroom door and around bed and on bed frame was filthy. Had to switch a room one night because the first room wasn’t musty and smelled of sitting water, go to find out someone had died in that room. When I switched rooms had to bring microwave with me because the room I was going to didn’t have one. Second night in this room I noticed cockroaches. My phone died as soon as I got picture and I fell asleep waiting for it to charge. I was sick and exhausted so I slept until 10:30. Got my phone to a whopping 2% by the time I woke up and was able to show front desk picture of cockroach. They couldn’t refund my money because I used “third party app” to reserve. I suggested free night since I couldn’t get reimbursed and was told had to wait for management. Also, she said basically that nothing would conspire from that since I waited until “check out” to say something so it must not have been important enough to bug me but they’d call me when management came about a possible free night. are a lot of permanent residents it seems so nightlife was sketchy.

I have been traveling for the last six months and whenever possible, I check into a Motel 6 for due to it’s affordability. I wanted to post a positive review for this location because it is the cleanest and most updated Motel 6 I have stayed in to date. The staff is friendly & accommodating, and the hotel was quiet and safe. The room came with a newer model mini fridge and microwave as well, which I really appreciated! Bed was cozy and the A/C worked great! It may seem like this location is off the beaten path but it’s actually only 4 minutes off the highway and well worth a few extra miles! Safe travels everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Room is spacious and clean. There is a fridge and a microwave for convenience. Staff are friendly and helpful. They allowed me to extend a few days and they made sure I still got the best rates. Definitely would recommend to a friend. Will definitely book again in the future. Thank you Motel 6 staff.
