Allison and Jason are truly amazing, and one of a kind in the area! Besides being the sweetest people in the world, Allison is one of the most talented photographers my husband and I have ever worked with! First and foremost, my husband and I got married at Phipp's Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, PA, but we lived in Houston, TX at the time. This meant we were planning EVERYTHING from a distance. This also meant that we didn't get our engagement pictures done when a normal couple does - in fact, we got our pictures done the weekend before our wedding! Allison was SO accommodating! She took her time teaching us all the poses, and we laughed uncontrollably the entire time! She made a slightly stressful experience absolutely flawless! My husband and I decided early on we did not want to have a bunch of "typical" engagement pictures. We talked to Allison about our style, and what we were envisioning, and honestly, she picked the perfect space to get our unique engagement pictures done! I have attached a couple pictures below of our favorites! Wedding day was an absolute breeze with Allison and Jason! They felt less like photographers and more like guests, and we wouldn't have had it any other way! Allison made a photography plan a couple weeks before the wedding, and then sent over an itinerary for the day of - this included what pictures were happening at what time (and who was included in those pictures)! This was perfect for my highly organized heart! Besides the quality of the pictures, Allison's wedding fee includes engagement pictures, day of wedding pictures, a print release, and access to a virtual album with all your pictures (with no watermark). Allison and Jason are the dynamic duo OF THE CENTURY. We originally chose Allison Ewing Photography (AEP) for our wedding because they literally hit all of our check boxes; 1. beautiful, bright and airy photography 2. print release included (and no watermarks on photos!) 3. All photos included in price 4. second photographer at a good value (all the angles!!!) 5. the vibe/ fit and personality of the photographer. Needless to say, we were so impressed that we hired Allison to travel the extra distance from Ohio to Pittsburgh for our October 3rd, 2020 wedding. We made this decision in 2019 (pre-pandemic), and I can say that in hindsight, we could not have made a better decision. Not only did Allison check all of our boxes on paper, but she went above and beyond as we pivoted through changing wedding plans with pandemic restrictions. Through this entire process, Allison and Jason felt more like friends than a hired vendor. After meeting Allison, my bridesmaids even tried to hire her for their weddings but she was already booked! As far as the wedding day itself, Allison and Jason bring only positive vibes. I couldn't have asked for more supportive humans to capture these memories. They made sure we were on time and got every photo we wanted without ever making us feel rushed or flustered! To illustrate how AEP goes above and beyond: literally moments before the first look, as I approached my husband to surprise him, I got stressed because I saw a stray thread on my dress (I was admittedly over-anxious that day). I blurted out, "does anyone have scissors?!" All the while, my husband was standing there (previously on the verge on tears), now laughing because of course I chose that moment to worry about a tiny detail. Jason didn't even blink, immediately pulling out a multitool with tiny scissors. Mischief managed, and that is only one of many examples of how Allison and Jason SHOWED UP every time we needed it. Next example; my husband and I ALWAYS get Taco Bell after weddings, but the closest one required a short drive in an area that did not deliver. So who offered to grab us Taco Bell?! Our photographers wrapped up their night by delivering our Taco Bell favorites straight to our hotel suite! For these reasons and more, you need to contact Allison immediately for your event. Allison is truly amazing! Everything from her personality, passion for photography, to the quality shots she produces. We just had our wedding photos done with her and there is not one picture that isn’t stunning! We can’t choose just one favorite and that’s because of all the time and effort Allison put into getting the right shots and getting to know us.
