We stayed one night at Cathedral. The facilities were very basic of course being a budget hotel. The breakfast was basic however the noteworthy thing was these 2 lovely women(staff) attending us for breakfast. It was Friday morning, summer holidays , pretty packed up morning, slow food coming out of kitchen. Aggie & Lorraine tirelessly attended everyone with patience & politeness even in this pressured time. My son was ill they ensure I get a take-away breakfast for him. Breakfast time they were understaff so definitely need to pump up staff members at the most popular time of the day i.e breakfast.

Good welcome. First time in an accessible room. Wet room good. However, it seemed to be a standard height bed, considering it is an accessability room my wife really struggled to get off the bed. Satisfaction would have been a 5 otherwise. Its not a complaint, more of pointing out that the bed appears to be standard for an accessibility room.

Lovely hotel well situated in the town centre. It is approx 10 to 15 minutes walk from the railway station.||The staff on arrival were extremely courteous and helpful. In the evening the staff wee down on numbers, and were kept exceptionally busy, but all the while courteous.||The food in the evening was fantastic.||The bedroom was very clean and the beds comfy slept really well.

I have been here before, last year. There never seems to be enough staff on duty, the public area could have done with a good clean and Polish, dust quite thick in the dining area. Plates and cutlery left on the table long after customers finished eating, again not enough staff. The staff we did meet were very nice, but always rushed, so pleasantries couldn't always take place because of it. Rooms no longer have a chest of drawers for smaller items such as underwear and socks.
