TL;DR – Billy and Digital Realty were amazing for these first-time home buyers! We’ve known Billy since we began renting a unit in a multi-family home in South Waltham in 2018 and he was the listing agent. He made that process exceptionally straightforward, and our new landlords, who we really loved, had been hiring Billy for their units for a very long time. When we decided to look in the area to buy, we knew Billy would be a great choice (a choice we have not once regretted). Billy and Digital Realty work very closely with a lending agent and real estate attorney, and this integrated trifecta made the process very easy. We were quickly pre-approved for a mortgage, setting us up for a fast closing when the time came. Once we were in the position to make an offer (read below for more on that), the lending agent, Jason, that Billy works so closely with was able to give us an exact breakdown of monthly costs depending on many factors (offer amount, amount down, etc) while Billy gave us a detailed analysis of the unit and similar units in the area to help us dial in on a competitive offer and to make sure there were no surprises (there haven’t been!). Once our offer was accepted (only the second offer we made), finalizing the finances, arranging insurance, and finishing the closing process was straightforward and very organized. We ended up closing less than 21 days from making our offer! Taking a step back to the search itself, Billy gave us a summary of the market in the area and listened to our wants, price range, etc. This made finding places to visit very easy, as we received regular reports of new listings and price changes in our area. Billy was very flexible with scheduling, working around our full-time schedules as we went to visit properties of interest. Billy is also extremely knowledgeable and was able to point out details about electrical, plumbing, foundation status, heating/cooling, etc. He was very honest about some properties, warning us when something we would have overlooked would have likely cost us a lot in repairs in the not-so-distant future. As a result, when we did make our offer, we were very confident we had found a high-quality property. Now that we have been living in our new home for almost 6 months, we are happy to say that we are still delighted with our decision. There have been no surprises, nothing has needed repairs, and we are completely satisfied homeowners. Billy has still been in touch to make sure we’re still happy with our purchase, he took us out for dinner to celebrate, and we’ve received some very nice housewarming gifts form him as well. If you’re looking to buy a property in this area, we would definitely highly recommend going with Billy and Digital Realty!
