They explain each step of care, what to expect during treatment, and they offer practical preventive measures to maintain a healthy mouth. What I value most is their honesty and integrity. They don’t recommend unnecessary procedures and always focus on the best approach for the patient. This is the reason I choose Family Dental even though I could have easily found a dentist much closer to home. The combination of expert care, comfort, and true professionalism makes Family Dental stand out. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking excellent dental care in a genuinely caring environment.

Everyone was insanely nice, accommodating and understanding. I have some dental anxiety from a few bad experiences in a row and Shady Side Family Dental was just a breath of fresh air. From the second I walked in, the front desk admin was super nice; both hygienists were so calm and comforting and Dr. McCarty was gentle but down to earth at the same time. She spoke to me on my level; not condescending like I have experienced with previous dentists. My hygienist talked to me as if I was her best friend and she was super sweet (and gentle) while doing my exam. I had such a pleasant experience that I’ve switched my whole family to this practice after just one visit. I highly recommend them!

We all dislike going to the dentist, let's be honest. I however, don't mind it as much now. I finally found a place that made getting work done and sitting in that chair much more enjoyable. From the nostalgic feel of the building to the pleasant staff, everything is all around.. Wonderful. I had not been doing a very good job in my younger years with my dental hygiene, but I straightened up once I hit age 30 and started going to shadyside dental. I highly suggest you trying out this dental office and make sure you check out the cuckoo clock hanging on the wall.

Today was my Dad's first visit to ShadySide Family Dental and I have to say the staff are some of the most caring individuals you will meet. My Dad suffers from dementia and tremors and was a little anxious sitting in the chair but Dr McCarthy and her staff were super gentle and sweet in caring for his needs. The visit was quick and smooth. I appreciate their kindness in handling an adult with special needs. He was seen right away with no wait time in between. The facility is huge and clean with plenty of parking. I am so glad I chose Shady Side Family Dental for his denture replacement needs.
