Great experience here. Dr. George removed a carcinoma from my nose. He explained that it was deep and he would be doing a long incision with skin graft, which might leave a scar. I told him not to worry, I was 75 years old and not worried about a scar. He said that wasn’t the point, he took pride in his work and would do his very best. Three weeks later, I have no sutures, no scab, no scar and no carcinoma. Dr. G can be very proud.

Beware for elderly clients! I don’t take lightly providing negative reviews but I think it can sometimes be an important red flag. I had the misfortune of accompanying an elderly patient here for a cancer removal procedure. He is 82, with stage 4 kidney disease, and cognitive decline. I arrived shortly after him and reception was quite rude telling me I could not join him. I explained he had cognitive decline and the last time he had a procedure here he had a significant functional decline for several days - likely a reaction to multiple doses of local anesthesia over 4-5 hours which at his age and with his kidney disease has unintended effects. He had been allowed to leave on his own- barely able to walk and drive himself home! When I did express these concerns to the Doctor, I was dismissed, and was told they could just cancel the cancer removal. Honestly, there is an overall lack of concern for the patient after care which is alarming when dealing with elderly patients. After this procedure the nurse was in a hurry to get him out, took his BP on a cheap cuff that you order from Amazon- not even professional grade equipment. And at 181/101 told him he was fine. The patient was very unsteady and falling over. When I questioned the speed as to she was dismissing him- she informed me they only care if his bp is over 200/100. As a chemo nurse who has worked in infusion clinics, I get this, if you are otherwise healthy. But to have no consideration for other health issues, fall risk, age, or comorbidities, strikes me as rather dangerous. If someone is falling over - young or old- you should not be in a rush to kick them out! Even if they say they’re ok- and you have been informed of their cognitive decline and previous adverse reactions- you need do an assessment. But this clinic is not at all adjusting for the elderly patients in which their regular procedures can have more lasting and unintended consequences. Perhaps this is the state of our move to privatizing healthcare. But I would not recommend this clinic or take any elderly family or friends there.

Dr. Solish operated on my ear. He was very reassuring and made me comfortable. He has operated on me a few times and I trust him completely. The clinic and staff are top notch.

I had a wonderful experience at Carlton Skin Clinic. I received a skin cancer diagnosis, and was treated with patience and compassion while I processed the news and asked repeated questions. I was booked for surgery very quickly after diagnosis, and the surgery itself was a breeze. The doctor also took the extra time to give me a full body exam to make sure there was no cancer anywhere else, even though that wasn’t supposed to be part of the appointment. The nurses, doctors, and staff are all friendly and kind, and the clinic itself is bright, clean, and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
