Customer experiences
Dream Apparel and Articles for People is a quaint boutique tucked away in the Net Loft Building on Granville Island. You shouldn't be fooled by the Dream store's appearance; their selection is formidable. Small packages bring the most pleasant surprises, and they strive to do just that. You can tell they carefully selected products for quality and value and believe in their artisans' visions and share their attention to detail and pride in their works. Are you looking for a unique treasure for yourself or just looking to browse through some trinkets for your loved ones or friends? Dream Apparel and Articles for People is the place to be. They sell some of their hand-made crafts along with many local artisans in the well-organized and clean store. There are over a dozen local artisans who place their hand-crafted items in this immense store. The owner of this boutique is Wendy, who has owned it since 1993. She decided to make the move to Granville Island in 2008. This is our second time at this store in the past three months, and each time she allowed my girls to play with her large collection of Barbie dolls! Clearly, the owner has taken great care and love into presenting all the hand-crafted treasures in the most attractive possible way. The vast selection means there is no way you’re walking away empty-handed. It’s one of those places where if the abundance of jewellery, bags, apparel and accessories don’t keep you coming back, the charming décor and friendly staff will!
The owner claimed that half her family is Black, yet went full Karen on me (I am Black) by womansplaining me about the history of Black Barbie’s. Not only can you buy a knitted cardigan at this establishment, but you can also get a history lesson on your own culture! Dream Apparel ftw 👍🏽.
Cool owner! Got some one of a kind local made jewlery here! Love it. Also the scrunchies are all made with love by an elderly woman. So cute.
Greatest experience at this adorable store yesterday. The woman working was absolutely delightful and made browsing and purchasing the items super fun. Thank you times a million for making my day.
