I’ve lived in Dubai for 30 years, completed high school here, and after graduating from university, have spent the past 13 years working in the education sector. My work has taken me to schools across the region, meeting with teachers, managers, and owners. Among them, I was truly impressed by the owner’s mission and vision for Citizens, as well as his forward-thinking approach to shaping education. The campus itself is remarkable; neat, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. It offers outstanding sports facilities, including a gym, swimming pool, football pitch, paddle courts, and an indoor sports hall. The classrooms are modern, the teachers are warm and approachable, and the entire staff has been incredibly supportive throughout the admissions process and ever since. Most importantly, my son loves going to school. For the first time, he’s the one waking me up in the morning, rather than the other way around! Not only have I enrolled my son at Citizens, but I’ve also recommended the school to other parents, and their children are now proud Citizens as well.

I am a founding parent at Citizens School. The uniqueness of this inclusive school lies in caring for the needs of both students and parents in today’s fast-changing world. The school is a safe place with caring mentors and staff, sensory friendly seating and ambience, well designed areas and great sports facilities. Citizens emphasizes the overall well-being of all students from over 70 countries. Project Based Learning (PBL) combines what the students in each year group learn in Math, Science and English into practical projects with real world application. Languages, Art and Culture and Sports are an important part of school life. Entrepreneurship is greatly encouraged, and children participate with self-made products on Makers’ Mondays and school events. There are many options for after school activities and clubs. For parents, the school provides free classes such as Arabic, French, English, Art and Fitness. Recently, they held a valuable parent training course on Hands only CPR from American Heart Association (AHA) in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The Coffee Mornings are helpful for parents to get to know each other, the curriculum and varied topics including helping children with school transitions. We have experienced positive growth and overall development of our child from the first day of school in 2022 to today. Citizens School is building a community of thriving Global Citizens and our family is very happy to be part of this community.

We love the school, the facilities, the mentors, and the learning methods. Kids are not only following a set curriculum but are developing in a well-rounded way—personal growth, participation in projects, encouragement of an eco-friendly mindset, support, inclusion, and even early business thinking. At this school, children are guided by mentors, not just taught standard lessons from a fixed plan by teachers. We have seen motivation, encouragement, and multidimensional development over the past two years. Like any new school, there are still areas being refined and improved, but that is also a positive aspect—parents and children are heard, feedback is valued, and the school evolves accordingly. And yes, if you are looking for a purely standard British school, this might not be the perfect fit for you. Here, the approach is broader, more assembled, and focused on multi-faceted development. 🌸 We love it 🤍
