Customer experiences
Judy helped me recover from lower back issues that were both extremely painful and delibatating. After several weeks of treatment was pain-free and had my life back! Have exercises and stretches to set me up for success moving forward. Highly recommend Durham Orthopedic!
Have been at this clinic in the past for hip issues and have been met with professional, knowledgeable and compassionate service from Anna who also helped my husband through 3 separate knee surgeries. Today for the first time I went for massage in an attempt to relieve chronic headache. I met with Lesley who went above and beyond our scheduled first appointment to ensure she provided information, tips and exercises that will hopefully alleviate some of my headache discomfort. I have complete trust and faith in the therapists who are entrusted in my wellbeing.
I'm a candidate for hip replacement surgery but in the meantime, I was referred to this clinic to take part in the GLAD program that they run for knee & hip joints. As I waited for that program to begin, I started weekly sessions with Mathew, who also facilitates the program. Long story short, I've seen great progress in strengthening and flexibility. Matthew is very easy to talk to, very professional, and really cares about his patients. Everyone working at this clinic is also very nice and easy to deal with.
I have been going here for the last two months due to a pretty complex break of my tibia and fibula in my left leg close to my knee (ORIF surgery). With working a very physical job and having an active lifestyle, I was afraid of the possibility that I may not heal fully. The moment I called this physio I felt I made the right choice. The prices for my sessions are some of the lowest I’ve seen. The staff were very sweet and helpful in helping me book my first appointment. I have been under Matthew’s guidance since my first visit here. Being a sports physiotherapist, Matt understood that I wasn’t just trying to regain the ability to use my leg, but to be able to use it in weightlifting, sports, and my job. To bring it back to the strength it was at before my injury. The stretches and exercises that Matt has gotten me to perform have brought me incredible strides with bringing back my strength, and will also help prevent this type of injury from happening again. Matt also wrote up a protocol of different stretches, isolation, and compound movements I performed at home and the gym that, after a few weeks, he would change slightly as I gained the ability to perform them more easily. This progressive method was excellent in keeping me invested and provided a good challenge in bringing back muscle to my leg. Under his care, I have been able to surpass the healing and strength expectations set in place normally with the type of injury I had. I’m already back to squatting with a loaded barbell and with each week I can feel more mobility and strength return to my leg. I do not believe I would have gained the strength and mobility back in the ways I have if I chose to go to another physiotherapy. As. I mentioned, Matt understood my expectations, and he has surpassed them.
