Customer experiences
A great and communicative clinic for pets. they take walk-ins through a digital appointment system, so you and your pet can wait in your car if there is a rush to be seen. they also will do regular appointments for the same pet over time, I think on Wednesdays. I brought my cat Tuesday there, and she basically thought she was attending some kind of party for her. she came home energized and cared for, UTI confirmed and antibiotics prescribed. The staff are very kind people with deep affection for our animal friends.
My recommendation for Rivers Veterinary for your pets needs as the process was very simple. When you arrive they have a UR code on the front door for you to scan to do the intake of information for your pets turn to be taken care. This option was better in my opinion to be able to spend the time in my vehicle with my furbaby. When it's your time they will text you when you are to enter the office. Rivers Veterinary staff was very warm and friendly during a very difficult time with my kitty. Though the outcome was difficult for me to handle my fur baby was taken care of and they explained all the information in a very empathetic way. Thank you to the staff for making a difficult situation into a peaceful goodbye.
My pup was having trouble walking a few years ago and we came to rivers for emergency help. We’ve decided to trust Rivers and Dr. Thornton with her care ever since. They got her back on her feet and for a while we were seeing them for routine appointments. Recently, I found a mass on my pup. They got her in quickly for surgery and a biopsy. From my dogs emergency’s and small needs to scary procedures, they’ve taken care of her and myself. They made sure I had all the options and recommendations to make an informed decision, with prices before we scheduled anything. Dr. Thornton is thorough with explanations, her concerns, and possible outcomes. The wait times are something you have to get used to. They take the most prioritized cases as they come in, meaning someone else needs their attention right away. If this is something you can get past, DO IT, because they give your pet the same attention when it’s your turn, dire need or not. They’ve always treated my pet fabulously, and she hasn’t known anything but Rivers care.
UPDATE: he's gaining weight and enthusiastically playing again. See video. A week ago, my black cat was on death's door. While he's not out of the woods yet, he started eating again and is moving around a lot more. After taking him to half a dozen other vets, I finally found a practice that cares and is competent. I don't know how much more time I have with him, but every day that I got with him sitting on my lap is a blessing. The staff is amazing too. All you have to do is be civil and they'll bend over backwards for you. To the bad clients who've necessitated the warning signs in every room, shame on you.
