Elly's Brunch & Cafe (Jefferson Park)

We've been wanting to try this place for the longest time because of several great recommendations from friends. Why oh why did it take so long to visit Elly’s?! We went on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 and were seated right away. Our server Cara was quick to assist us. The menu has a lot to offer, and there is something for everyone. We ordered and were amazed when our food arrived in about five minutes! I got the corned beef hash skillet, which came out in an actual skillet. They make their own corned beef in-house, and it had the perfect crisp around the edges and tasted fantastic. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, which came with two eggs. The biscuits were fluffy, and the gravy was delicious. His eggs were cooked to perfection. We had our grandbaby with us and also ordered a Child’s plate. The portions are enormous, and we had plenty of leftovers. This is now our go-to breakfast spot. The food is fantastic, portions are huge, and service is great. What's not to love?

I finally made it to Elly's for brunch—and wow, I don’t know why it took me so long! I had the pancakes and an omelette, and both were absolutely delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor, and the omelette was cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients.
