In March on the 1st of 2020 my family home caught fire and burnt. I had Fire insurance, but decided to build bigger and install some ADA compliant devices in the home. This was going to cause me to have a home mortgage again. I went to the bank I originally had the loan through to see what my options were to find out with the kind of rebuild we were forced into doing we had no banking options. While having a conversation with Kat, she advised that not only could Elmwood help me in this situation but she would do everything she could to ensure it was as smooth as possible. With the pandemic hitting two weeks after the house caught fire and the economy shutting down for months this was a bright light we needed at the end of the tunnel. Kat kept her word and ensured the process was smooth even though unforeseen circumstances were encountered in how my house was titled. She stayed in close contact to make sure any documentation needed was obtained, signed and sent in to keep this process moving quickly. The entire team we had the pleasure of working with went above and beyond what we could have hoped for. The appraisal was ordered for the house and the gentleman came out the very next day, offered his experience on what the structure should be valued at which was fine for me. And then it was almost turn around for the actual signing of the documents which happened on a Tuesday and Friday the money hit the bank and our worries of being able to pay our contractors went away. Although I do not ever plan on buying another house as long as I live (fingers crossed) I am so very happy to have been assisted and able able to work with the Elmwood team including Kat. She was a critical player in staying on top of things and making sure we had as few headaches as possible. Please consider this team because they are awesome at what they do!
