Emma Wells Tennis is a leading organisation within the Wimbledon area. They deliver an excellent coaching programme and are focused on growing the tennis community. The coaches are fantastic and they really care about supporting all of their players of all ages and abilities within this inclusive environment. I’ve personally attended events here and thoroughly enjoyed the seamless booking and on court process, I couldn’t recommend this venue more!

Attending my first ever Meet & Greet session with Tennis in Merton was such a brilliant experience — I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to tennis! I’ve been looking to take up a new physical activity to complement my swimming sessions, and tennis has proven to be the perfect match. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and encouraging, which immediately put me at ease as a complete beginner. The session was led by Coach Hamish, who I believe is the Head of Tennis — and rightly so! He was outstanding: incredibly knowledgeable, calm, and patient. He explained everything clearly, tailored the drills to our level, and made sure everyone felt supported. His passion for coaching really shone through, and his teaching style made the session both enjoyable and educational. I was able to work on key fundamentals such as body positioning, footwork coordination, and how to properly grip and swing the racket. Everything was broken down in a way that made it feel achievable, even for someone brand new to the sport. This experience completely exceeded my expectations and left me feeling excited and motivated to continue. I’d highly recommend it to anyone curious about starting tennis — especially if you’re new like me. I’m already looking forward to joining a beginner course in August 2025!
