This is an awesome place to rent from Rich is the owner and helped us get into a place witch wasn't easy as we lived in another state he worked with us and got us in After we moved in if there was any problems at all he was very quick to have them fixed We had to move a year later do to my job but my wife cleaned the house really good and the yard was picked up as well They only kept 150 out of the 2000 dollar deposit as agreed. to have the carpets done I highly recommend this place Thanks cedar west You'll be hearing from me when I get a chance to come home

This company stole my deposit. Not only did the property management company not step up knowing full well that the home owner was wrong. We did a walk through with the property management company when returning the keys and they said everything looked good. The homeowners is not attempting to charge us over $1,500 over our $2,100 deposit for repairs that are non existent. Correct me if I’m wrong but the carpets where the originals that the house was built with back in 1977 never been replaced and we where the third renters. Are those carpets not suppose to be replaced. Not according to them. Not only is the home owner a creep he constantly wants to do walk through a for no reason and he even walked in on me in the shower. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST REGRET OF YOUR LIFE…

These guys are the worst. I would give them zero stars if that were an option. As a renter - I highly suggest you look for another property management firm - even if they are offering a home perfectly suited to your needs. They take excessive time in sending help to repair problems. Rich, the main dude rarely works past noon. We left the house we rented in better condition than when we left, spending more than $3800 of our own $$ to fix up the house. When we moved out, they sent us a check for $84 out of our $2300 security deposit based on illegal claims clearly in violation of Civil Code 1950.5.

I have rented from Cedar West on numerous occasions over the last 8 years and they are by far one of the better property management companies in El Dorado County. Rich and his staff are very helpful, have the tenants best interest in mind, and handle quality properties.
